Hello, I'm Tycha Kimbrough. You've probably heard the term unfit parent thrown around, but you're probably wondering what does that really mean Under Texas law? An unfit parent is a parent who could have a negative and significant impact on a child's emotional development and or physical health. Examples of such behavior that shows one is unfit to parent would be someone who has abandoned a child who is neglectful and or has committed acts of abuse.
