What if my spouse cannot be found or evades service of the divorce papers?

If you file for a divorce and your spouse cannot be found, or is intentionally avoiding getting served, you may be able to ask the court to serve your spouse in a different way. This is called substituted service. Some options here include service via publication service, via email, and even service via social media.
