How is child support calculated in Texas?

Hi, I’m Tycha Kimbrough. In Texas, child support is calculated using guidelines. The court will set a minimum amount of child support that the obligating parent has to pay. And that child support amount is based off of the obligating parent’s monthly income, as well as the number of children that that person has.
