David J. Rodriguez is a trial attorney and certified family law mediator licensed since 1993. His litigation experience includes jury trials in both civil and criminal courts, including Divorce and Child Custody cases, Child Protective Services cases involving the termination of Parental Rights, DWI, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Assault involving Family Violence, and Theft.
Mr. Rodriguez served as Municipal Court Judge for the City of San Antonio from December 1999 to February 2003. At the Municipal Court, he presided over Class C misdemeanor jury trials, issued search and arrest warrants, evaluated police reports for probable cause that a crime had been committed, and set appropriate bail for arrested persons.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Mr. Rodriguez is a graduate of Churchill High School. He attended Trinity University where he won a music scholarship playing trumpet for the Trinity Wind Ensemble and Trinity Jazz Band. He earned his B.A. In Philosophy in 1988. Mr. Rodriguez attended the University of Texas School of Law where he earned his J.D.
